ScrewedUS was created in order to address a two-fold problem so present in America and the world:
1) to expose the means and manner by which our political, economic, religious and social institutions, as well as individuals, manipulate information in order to “screw us” and “screw the U.S.” - all for the sole purpose of serving their personal and institutional agendas; and
2) to demonstrate the degree to which we passively and actively screw ourselves through self-imposed ignorance and the voluntary refusal to learn and utilize critical-thinking skills in the search for truth and meaning.
Mankind cannot progress by way of self-interest and hypocrisy; we can only transcend our problems, and evolve into a species of higher intelligence, by applying principles of logic and empathy in everything we think, feel, and do.
And using a healthy dose of humor along the way, never hurts.
